Overview
Technical or non-technical? It doesn’t matter because whatever your background, our introductory telecommunications courses comprise 1-5 day options for all levels of expertise.
We run three courses starting with the one-day Telecommunications Overview on wireline (fixed) telecoms technology.
It can be taken alone or as part of the 4-day Telecoms Fundamentals for Professionals course which also covers mobile and wireless, data communications and convergence topics such as VOIP and Triple Play. Upon completion delegates will have a clear understanding of transmission, switching, signalling, digital and mobile networks, data networking and much more.
The most comprehensive course is the 5-day Telecommunications Fundamentals which provides an in-depth understanding of voice migration from circuit- to packet-switched networks and teaches how to evaluate technology options for an organisation’s data and telephony requirements.
The vast array of topics covered here include enterprise connections (VoIP Islands) to the PSTN, routing calls with ENUM, codecs and voice compression services and technologies plus the functions and architecture of the IP Multimedia Subsystem. (IMS).
