Overview
Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON) is a 5-day course for engineers requiring in-depth knowledge of fibre based system (FTTx) and passive-optical networking. requiring an in depth knowledge of the principles and applications of Passive Optical Networking and Fibre to the X (FTTx) applications and their associated equipment, its flexibility and function within a modern transmission network. The theory is re-enforced by hands-on equipment instruction.
Optical Transport Networking (OTN) with G.709 Interfaces is a high lebel workshop imparting a good understanding of all related terminology and technology over two days. By the end, delegates will not only understand demand for OTN bandwidth and the purpose of new technologies but will be fully conversant with the issues involved in equipment and application rolloutthe issues involved with equipment and application roll-out.
The third, more detailed course is entitled Interfaces for the Optical Transport Network (OTN) and Automatically Switched Optical Networks. It offers an in-depth introduction to the terminology that will comprise tomorrow’s Optical Transport Networks and is recommended for anyone requiring a SDH/SONET and DWDM refresher.
