Overview

The course provide delegates with an understanding of the technologies, vocabulary and techniques and used in contemporary television broadcast systems and operations. Packet based delivery of broadcast services such as PW010  IPTV and Video on Demand (VoD) are becoming increasingly popular. However for many professionals coming from a Telecoms or IT background, little is understood of traditional broadcast technologies or the requirements for quality of service within those technologies. It is of prime importance that these considerations are understood so that IPTV and VoD services can offer the same quality of experience to the consumer as those that exist today in traditional broadcast services. Also IT and Telecoms professionals working on IPTV or VoD implementations will need to be able to communicate effectively with broadcast counterparts working on thier project. The format of this course is classroom based with demonstrations.
