Overview

This course will at the latest developments in broadcast in particular UHD, HDR and Next Generation Audio, examining the different HDR technologies for both HD and UHD applications with a hands on examples of PQ, HDR10 and HLG. The course will examine the underlying ITU recommendations including ST.2020 and ST.2100. Special attention will be given to the process of converting between different colour spaces and the visual artifacts to look for when the conversion is incorrect. Examples using the Phabrix and Telestream PRISM Waveform Monitor will be shown, in particular how they can be used to identify and troubleshoot HDR signals over SDI and IP using ST.2022 and ST.2110.
