Overview

This course is designed to give delegates practical experience in writing SQL statements and scripts using Oracle SQL*Plus.  The basic SELECT statement, the use of SQL functions and the basic table and view handling statements are introduced.

Objectives

By the end of this course, the delegate will be able to:

  • Describe the basic structure of a relational database
  •  Use the command line features of SQL*Plus
  •  Create SQL statements to select data from an Oracle Database
  •  Generate simple reports from selected data
  •  Use SQL*Plus control and run time parameters
