This course is designed to give the delegate a technical overview into the new features and solutions in the LTE advanced environment. The course will cover all aspects of the technology released in LTE Advanced including Carrier Aggregation, MIMO Solutions, the use of Relay Nodes, Coordinated Multipoint operation (CoMP), we will also discuss the use of WiFi offload, the role of the ANDSF, how HeNB will be integrated to increase coverage black holes and the utilisation of ICIC and eICIC.

This course will discuss amongst other things the initial vision of ITU for IMT Advanced and describe the ability to offer 3Gbit/sec in the downlink & 1.5 Gbits/sec in the uplink, the increased number of active users supported and improved cell edge performance
