Before beginning this course, students should possess moderate to advanced Microsoft Windows administrative skills, including:

  • Performing administrative tasks associated with Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP i.e. manage user accounts, profiles, security groups
  • Familiarity with active directory, including group policy objects, sites, and group/user accounts, and familiarity with the fundamentals of it
  • Microsoft SQL Server administration
  • A demonstrated understanding of Windows troubleshooting techniques and tools such as task manager, performance monitor, event viewer, etc.
