Cross-training for experienced RPG programmers ­learn to use embedded SQL as an alternative to traditional file processing.

Suitable for experienced RPG programmers with a basic understanding of the SQL language.

After attending this course, students should be able to:

  • Code embedded SQL statements (static and dynamic) in RPG programs to perform database I/O operations
  • Explain the use of SQL Stored Procedures

Each student will have a dedicated workstation to complete the numerous practical exercises. Sample solutions will also be provided.
