Connected Home Academy Certified Professional
To become a Connected Home Certified Professional the candidate must gain 15 points by attending a selection of the courses below and passing the associated exams.
How do the Connected Home Academy certifications work?
The Connected Home environment, services & technology form a very wide field, any consumer service or solution is usually multi vendor utilizing different technologies. To reflect this, the Connected Home Academy offers a points based system for gaining recognition & certification in relation to the topics you need for your role. Each course has an associated exam that is worth a set number of points and different points requirements exist for each Connected Home Academy certification. For example the points requirement for Connected Home Academy Certified Executive is only 3, where as the points requirement for Connected Home Academy Certified Associate is 5.
In addition to this points based system, candidates are limited to a certain pool of courses and associated exams that are relevant to each certification, each pool is listed on the individual certification pages. Certain courses maybe relevant to more than one certification. There are also specializations at the Connected Home Academy Certified Professional level, such as Connected Home Academy Certified Professional with CPE, or Connected Home Academy Certified Professional with IPTV.
This reflects the need for candidates to focus their learning in a way that complements their current project or working environment. A candidate from a telecom service provider delivering IPTV services may have a completely different learning requirement to that of a video chip designer or broadcast engineer, yet the Connected Home Academy offers a way to gain skills and recognition as the points based system offers the ability to customize the content of your certification.
On successful completion of the required courses & exams and having gained the points required, the candidate is awarded a certificate showing their achievement. The certificate also lists the individual courses & exams that have been undertaken.
