Course Description:

This 3-day Asterisk training workshop can be provided onsite to organisations worldwide or in the UK on our public schedule of courses. This Asterisk course is an instructor-led, multi-media presentation style format course, with comprehensive manual. The course is geared towards hands on implementation with about 60% of time spent on hands on exercises and configuration.

- Describe Asterisk Architecture
- Describe the benefits of Asterisk
- Evaluate Asterisk against given business goals and technological constraints
- Connect Asterisk to the PSTN

- Configure Zapata Channels
- Configure IAX Channels
- Configure a Dialplan
- Configure extensions.conf
- Configure Asterisk for Voicemail
- Configure SIP Channels

Prerequisites:

Delegates should have a reasonable understanding of Voice over IP and packet based communications. It is also important that candidates have some experience with Linux installation, configuration and administration, as this course will not cover an introduction to Linux. Only the Linux skills that relate to Asterisk will be covered by this training course.
