Course Duration: 1 Day

Course Code: PDN010

Course Description:

This 1-day non hands on training course will provide you with a basic knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite and how it is used in practical applications.  It is designed to give understanding of the protocol architecture together with application and implementation issues.

This training course will be of great benefit to anyone new to interacting with TCP/IP networks and the applications which they support.

Upon completion delegates will understand the basics of:

- Internet protocol architecture
- Relevent standards
- Simple Mail Transfer Protocol to manage your e-mail
- Telnet to access remote systems
- File Transfer Protocol to retrieve information
- IP addressing using domain names
- End user name and address schemes

- Network management protocols like SNMP

- Intranets within your organisation
- free Internet information and support
