Course Description:

This three-day course provides learners with advanced skills in implementing and troublshooting Cisco Storage networks.  In this course, students learn how to implement virtual storage area networks (VSANS) using the full range of capabilities of the Cisco MDS 9000 Series switches, to implement a robust management infrastructure, including performace management and to troubleshoot Cisco Fibre Channel storage networks.

 

Objectives:

- Implement reliable, scalable, and interoperable SAN fabrics
- Monitor and tune performance
- Configure Fabric Security
- Configure management services
- Diagnose and resolve issues using advanced diagnostic tools.

Prerequisites:

Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites:

- Basic understanding of data storage components and protocols, including SCSI and Fibre Channel
- Basic understanding of MDS 9000 installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting
