Course Description:

The Blue Coat Certified Proxy Administrator (BCCPA) upgrade Course is intended for students who have attended the Proxy Fundamentals course and wish to upgrade their skills. This course is covers new material not included in the Proxy Fundamentals Class.

The course is intended for networking professionals who have attended the Proxy fundamentals course. You should not take the BCCPA course, if you have already participated in the Advanced Proxy Solutions Course.

Objectives:
The BCCPA Upgrade Course focuses on new features in Blue Coat's most recent operating system. Students will learn how to manage Instant Messaging, peer-to peer traffic and downloads. The course also covers Blue Coat Web Filter, Dynamic Real Time Rating, and HTTP compression.

Prerequisites:




- A working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, network environments with firewalls.
- Working knowledge of routing, bridging, & switching.
- Good understanding of web servers and services using http, https, & ftp are prerequisites.
- Familiarity with the network environment where the Blue Coat Proxy Appliance will be deployed.
- Before attending this course you must have attended a Blue Coat Proxy Fundamantals course.
