Course Description:

Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 extends Microsoft® Windows®2000 Server and Windows Server 2003, providing the most comprehensive access infrastructure for deploying and managing any custom or packaged Windows application.

 

This course provides the necessary foundation to fully utilize the power of Citrix Presentation Server. This course builds on existing knowledge of the Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server platform and covers installation and administration of Citrix Presentation Server 4.0.

 

Learners receive in-depth training on using the management console for Presentation Server 4.0, configuring a Presentation Server 4.0 farm and Individual server settings, managing licensing through the License Management Console, administering Presentation Servers, deploying applications using Presentation Server 4.0 and providing a secure web access solution with Presentation Server 4.0.

 

Certification Preparation

Citrix training course CTX-1256SUXP (for existing Citrix MetaFrame XP Administrators) prepares candidates for exam 256 Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Administration. Candidates are expected to have prior knowledge of Citrix ICA clients and other topics covered in the 122x series.

Prerequisites:

This course is intended for IT professionals, such as server, network, and system administrators, familiar with Microsoft® Windows® environments. Systems engineers, analysts, consultants, and architects are also appropriate candidates for this course.

Candidates for this course must be able to demonstrate experience of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server. A course attendance certificate for one of the CTX-122x series of courses is a pre-requisite for booking this course. It is recommended that learners have experience administering Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 environments.

• Deploy Published Applications to the web securely using both web interface and secure gateway for Presentation Server 4.0
• Manage and monitor Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 server farms by utilizing the resource management components of Citrix Presentation Server 4.0
