Course Description:

This two-day course, based on ScreenOS 5.0, focuses on advanced management and troubleshooting of NetScreen Firewall/VPN products. The course also discusses bandwidth management and performance tuning. Multiple hands-on labs reinforce the class discussions.

 

Who should attend:
Network engineers, support personnel, reseller support, and others responsible for implementing NetScreen products utilising the advanced features covered in this class.

 

Objectives:
By the end of this course, students will be able to configure multiple management options for NetScreen Firewall/VPN products, including SYSLOG and SNMP. Students will learn to troubleshoot basic configuration, address translation, and VPNs using the embedded snoop and debug tools. They will be able to perform bandwidth management and allocation based on policy configuration. Finally, students will learn to configure and tune NSRP.

Prerequisites:

attended the INSG 5.0 course or have equivalent experience with NetScreen's ScreenOS. Specifically, students need to be familiar with configuration of:

- VPNs
