Course Description:

This two-day course, based on ScreenOS 5.0, discusses the configuration of NetScreen products in complex configurations. Key topics include VLANs, virtual systems, and redundant configurations using NSRP. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in hands-on labs.

 

Who should attend:

Network engineers, support personnel, reseller support, and others responsible for implementing NetScreen products utilising the advanced features covered in this class.

 

Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to configure NetScreen appliances and systems that support the virtualisation feature set, including subinterfaces and virtual systems. Students will also be able to configure NSRP in both active/passive and active/active deployments.

Prerequisites:

This course assumes that students have successfully attended the INSG 5.0 course or have equivalent experience with NetScreen's ScreenOS. Specifically, students need to be familiar with configuration of:

- Virtual routers and inter-VR routing
- Policies
- Address Translation
- VPNs

Relevant Certifications:

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS)
