Course Description:
This eDirectory Fundamentals course is designed to introduce IT professionals to the underlying principles and concepts of Novell's eDirectory product.
Delegates will come to understand the purpose and function of eDirectory and its key concepts. They will install eDirectory,design and configure eDirectory trees and objects,and manage eDirectory rights and set up partitions and replicas.They will also perform health check and disaster recovery tasks.They will do all this on Linux servers.
This course is the introductory course for eDirectory. The audience is assummed to have either Windows or Linux networking experience (or both) but little to no experience with Novell networks.
This audience is interested in deploying Novell Nterprise Services (on a variety of platforms) and needs to acquire fundamental eDirectory knowledge before they begin.
Prerequisites:
The audience for this eDirectory Fundamentals course should come with basic networking knowledge, including:
