Course Description:

Citrix® MetaFrame Presentation Server extends Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server and Windows Server™ 2003, providing the most comprehensive access infrastructure for deploying and managing any custom or packaged Windows application. This course provides the necessary foundation to fully utilize the power of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server.

 

This course builds on existing knowledge of the Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server platform and covers installation and administration of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0. Learners receive in-depth training on using the management console for MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0, configuring a MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 farm and individual server settings, managing licensing through the License Management Console, administering MetaFrame Presentation Servers, deploying applications using MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 and providing a secure web access solution with MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0.

Prerequisites:

Candidates for this course must be able to demonstrate experience of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server. A course attendance certificate for one of the CTX-122x series of courses is a pre-requisite for booking this course. It is recommended that learners have experience administering Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 environments.

This course includes the following modules:

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to:

• Install Citrix® MetaFrame Access Suite License Server
• Install Citrix® MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 in a variety of network
• Identify the features and functions of the management console for MetaFrame
• Deploy applications using the Installation Manager function of Citrix
• Deploy Published Applications to the web securely using both web interface
• Manage and monitor Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 server farms
