Citrix® MetaFrame XP™ Presentation Server, the foundation of the Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite, is the world's most widely deployed presentation server for centrally managing heterogeneous applications and delivering their functionally to workers, wherever they may be. Successful implementation and deployment of MetaFrame XP Presentation Servers leverages the proven project methodologies and best practices contained in the Citrix IT project lifecycle.

 

This advanced course provides hands-on instruction in the build/rollout, test and support phases of the Citrix IT project methodology. This course provides learners with proven strategies for planning, testing and supporting MetaFrame XP Presentation Servers and farms. This course extends a learner's knowledge to encompass best practices for establishing, managing, optimizing and troubleshooting enterprise-level MetaFrame XP server farms.

 

CTX-1235AB is a blended training course that includes the following:

• eLearning course CTX-1234AW Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server: Server Optimization

This course is intended for IT professionals, such as server, network, and system administrators, familiar with Citrix® MetaFrame XP™ Presentation Server and Microsoft® Windows® environments.
Systems engineers, analysts, consultants, and architects are also appropriate candidates for this course.

Prerequisites:

Previous attendance at the following Citrix training courses is highly recommended prior to attending CTX-1235AB: CTX-1222BB Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Feature Release 3: Administration, CTX-2622BB Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Enterprise Edition, Feature Release 3: Administration

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to:

• Describe the project phases in a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server deployment
• Build MetaFrame XP Presentation Server and client test environments
• Plan and conduct scalability testing on a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server
• Build and pilot test a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server environment
• Configure back up, recovery and migrations for the MetaFrame XP Presentation Server data store
