Course Description:

This course is designed to provide delegates with a comprehensive guide to the functionalities of the Air Interface and its procedures and design. The course covers topics such as TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access), FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access), traffic channels, control channels, frequency hopping and hand-over techniques and analysis of Layer 1, 2 and 3.

At the end of this course, delegates will be able to: - Understand the functionality of the Air Interface - Understand the different methods of multiplexing - Understand the different channels and what they do - Understand the hand-over process between cells

Prerequisites:

Delegates must have attended a GSM overview course or be experienced in GSM architecture and structure, as this course covers many of the topics in substantial detail.
