Course Description:

This course is designed for Database administrators, data warehouse administrators and technical support staff who are required to plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies for Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g databases. 
 
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

 

• Plan and implement a backup and recovery strategy using Recovery Manager and Oracle Secure Backup
• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Enterprise Manager
• Use Flashback features to recover from human error
• Use Oracle Secure Backup to backup and restore from tape 

Prerequisites:

A working knowledge of Oracle SQL*Plus and Oracle Database Administration. This can be obtained by attendance on the pre-requisite courses.
