Course Description:
This course is for anyone who needs to create, administer and troubleshoot an Oracle8i or Oracle9i database. By the end of this course, the delegate will have been given practical experience in creating and administering an Oracle database. Database administrators will gain an understanding of the architecture and processes of the Oracle server. They will be able to ensure the integrity and availability of their organisations data within the Oracle environment. This course covers the main architecture and administration topics for the Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals I examination (IZ0-031) and the topics of the Oracle8i Architecture and Administration examination (IZ0-023).
Prerequisites:
A working knowledge of SQL*Plus is required. This can be obtained by attendance on the "Oracle SQL*Plus" course. A good working knowledge of operating system commands is also required. Pre-Requisites Courses: SQL*Plus (OSP). Note: Before taking any exam, ensure you have the recommended experience.
