Course Description:

This course will enable delegates to understand the new features of Oracle9i and how these may affect their current Oracle installations. They will be able to install Oracle9i; migrate an Oracle8i database to Oracle9i; create an Oracle9i database and implement the new features available on a database. This course is designed for experienced Oracle8i Database Administrators who need an understanding of the Oracle9i basic new features and how to implement them.

Prerequisites:

A good working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and of Oracle8i administration and backup and recovery functions. Pre-Requisites Courses: Introduction to SQL (ISQL); PL/SQL (OPI).
