This course is for anyone who needs to plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies for an Oracle8i or Oracle9i database. By the end of this course, the delegate will have been given practical experience in using the various Oracle backup and recovery commands. He/she will also gain experience of different failure and restore situations. This course covers the main backup and recovery topics for the Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals II examination (IZ0-032) and the Oracle8i Backup and Recovery examination (IZO-025)

Prerequisites:

Delegates should have attended SQL*Plus (OSP) and DBA Part I - Architecture & Administration (ODA), or have similar knowledge.
