M1562: Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Networking Services Infrastructure
View course dates
Course Duration: 5 Days
Course Code: M1562
Course Description:
This course provides students with the information and skills needed to create a networking services infrastructure design that supports the required network applications. Each module provides a solution based on the needs of the organisation. Some Microsoft Windows 2000 network solutions require a single technology, such as DHCP, to provide Internet Protocol (IP) address configuration support. In other situations, several technology options exist, such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Routing Information Protocol (RIP), and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), to design an IP routing scheme. The goal of this four-day course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a Microsoft Windows 2000 networking services solution for enterprise networks.
This course is intended for site architects, senior support professionals, and consultants who plan the deployment of Microsoft Windows 2000 in an organisation.
Prerequisites:
Students should have:
Attended course M1560: Updating Support Skills from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000, or course M2154: Implementing and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services, or have equivalent skills and knowledge
