Course Objectives

On completing the course, you will be able to:

- Plan and implement a backup and recovery strategy using Recovery Manager and Oracle Secure Backup
- Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Enterprise Manager
- Use Flashback features to recover from human error
- Use Oracle Secure Backup to backup and restore from tape

Who Should Attend

Database administrators, data warehouse administrators and technical support staff who are required to plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies for Oracle10g databases.

Prerequisites:

A working knowledge of Oracle SQL*Plus and Oracle Database Administration. This can be obtained by attendance on the pre-requisite courses.
