This 10 day accelerated instructor-led course provides students with a thorough understanding of Communication Server 1000M/S/E Rls 4.5, addressing installation, configuration and maintenance procedures.

 

After you complete this course, you will be able to:

 

- Describe the Communication Server 1000E/S/M system architecture
- Identify the components of the Communication Server 1000E/S/M
- Install the Call Server, Media Gateways and Signaling Server
- Configure the Communication Server 1000 to work across a LAN
- Configure the Communication Server 1000 using Element Manager
- Configure Media Cards, IP Phones and Core Features
- Describe IP Peer Networking & Virtual Trunking
- Configure IP Peer Networking using Element Manager
- Configure Geographic Redundancy and Campus Redundancy
- Perform basic troubleshooting techniques for systems & sites
- Configure Media Gateways for Survivability
- Maintain, backup and restore the system
- Configure the system to support Personal Directory, Redial list and Callers list features
- Configure the system to support Personal Call Assistant (PCA) and Virtual Office features
- Configure Adaptive Bandwidth Management, Bandwidth Zones and IP Sets
- Configure Web Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
- Configure Pseudo TTYs and manage logins
- Configure the Media Gateway 1000B & Alternative Call Routing
- Complete test calls between the Media Gateway & the main system
