Course Description:


This seminar discusses the transport layer aspects of UMTS in both the access and the core network. It focuses on the protocols and techniques used to support the radio network layer control and user plane protocols rather than the details of the radio network layer itself. It does however consider handover from the transport layer's perspective and also the integration of UMTS services with other network environments.


This course includes the following modules:
