Course Description:

This hands-on training course explores VMware Infrastructure 3, which consists of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter.

Completion of this course entitles the participant to attempt the examination for VMware Certified Professional status. This course is continued in a follow-on course entitled VMware Infrastructure 3: Deploy, Secure, and Analyze.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, you will understand the functionality in VMware Infrastructure 3 and be able to:

- Install and configure virtual machines
- Deploy virtual machines from templates and allocate resources
- Migrate and manage virtual machines
- Ensure high availability of applications
- Troubleshoot typical ESX Server issues

Target Audience:
System administrators, systems engineers, and operators responsible for ESX Server and/or VirtualCenter

Prerequisites:

System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems
