Course Description:

This course provides delegates with a complete overview of the Interconnect Billing and Revenue Assurance aspects of the billing process. The Interconnect Billing section is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge needed in the carrier to carrier billing process. With the ever increasing number of new carriers the Interconnect process is becoming an important revenue stream for Telcos. The Revenue Assurance aspect of the course offers guidance on the ways in which operators can ensure that the revenue they generate is billed accurately and effectively to the end customer. It also looks at ways in which fraud can be managed and prevented to reduce the risk to the operator. At the end of the course, delegates will be able to: Understand each aspect of Interconnect Accounting and Revenue Assurance Appreciate the issues faced within these departments and learn suitable techniques to overcome them Appreciate the revenue streams that can be achieved by effective working practices Understand how to implement an effective Interconnect billing system and the points to consider Understand simple measurement tools for benchmarking of fraud and bad debt issues.

Prerequisites:

Delegates should have a basic understanding of telecoms billing. If delegates do not have this knowledge they can attend the 2 day course entitled Billing In Telecoms.
