Course Description:
This two-day course is designed to provide lectures and comprehensive hands-on labs to produce a competent systems Administrators for the Cisco Call Manager product. Upon completion of this course Systems Administrators will be able to, maintain, administer and troubleshoot the systems. Objectives: - Identify AVVID and Call Manager Components - Describe the various IP phone models and list their features - Define and list benefits of Call Manager Cluster and Deployment Options Target Audience:
System Administrators or any person involved in the day to day running of a Cisco CallManager phone system. Prerequisites:
- Basic working knowledge of a computer and experience installing software onto a PC
- Basic understanding of network connectivity, Windows 2000 Server experience
- Understanding of how network devices get subnet and IP addressing information, VLAN routing and configuration, TCP networking
- Configuration of dial-peers on H.323 voice-enabled routers
- Basic route plan construction, Cisco IOS and Catalyst OS command line basics, IOS Configuration,
- Knowledge of Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) and Java Telephony Application
- Programming Interface (JTAPI) (optional)
- Obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent knowledge
- Knowledge of Windows 2000 Administration
- Knowledge of Exchange Server 2000
