MCITP: Database Developer Certification

Overview:

Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Database Developer certification demonstrates that you can design a secure, stable, enterprise database solution by using Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Database developers design and implement relational database models (logical and physical) and database storage objects. They also program servers by using user-defined functions, triggers, stored procedures, Transact-SQL, or the CLR. They retrieve or modify data using SQL queries or tune and optimize queries. Database developers are typically employed by mid-sized to large-sized organizations.

The MCITP: Database Developer credential is part of the new generation of Microsoft Certifications, which emphasizes primary skill sets and job roles, providing a more relevant, flexible, and cost-effective way to validate core technical, professional, and architectural skills.

How to earn your MCITP: Database Developer Certification

To achieve this certification, you must pass three exams: one MCTS prerequisite exam (70-431) and two Professional Series exams (70-441 & 70-442).

This certification will require a periodic update to demonstrate your continued currency in technology and best practices.
